This system is a NeXT mono slab. I had several RS/6000 workstations, and
a friend named Ryan Quick had a bunch of NeXT stations. He wanted an RS/6000,
and I didn't have a NeXT so the rest is history. It still runs well, but the
hard drive sounds bad and most likely needs replacement. I do not have the
NeXT step installation media or a NeXT CD-ROM, so I have not attempted to
replace the hard disk. I am not sure if the system requires a proprietary
CD-ROM like the early SGI systems. This system is fully functional. |
